Set sail on an educational voyage that spans 100 years!
SS Nomadic is not just a visitor attraction, it is an iconic and unique educational experience for students of all ages! At Nomadic Belfast we are committed to providing an exciting, interactive and structured educational programme which is in line with the Northern Ireland Curriculum. Our educational programme encourages independent and collaborative learning and will have you wanting to come back time and time again.
We offer a unique learning environment where pupils can experience life on an authentic 1911 ship. Throughout their visit, pupils will be able to interact with original artefacts, wear period costumes, meet the ships captain, work through educational worksheets and activities and have fun through learning. To support and enhance your visit to Nomadic, we have developed a series of activities and resources that can be done before your visit, or as a follow up exercise when you get back to the classroom.
Teachers Site Visits
At Nomadic Belfast we understand that schools need out-of-school visits to be both time and cost effective. To ensure that you are confident a visit to Nomadic is right for your class, we would like to invite teachers to book an appointment to come down for a complimentary walk-through, at a convenient time and date. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to meet a member of our education team who will guide you around the ship, explain how our education programme works and answer any questions you may have about our education programme.
